Guess I'm not cut out for mosh pits

Look at how close. I am still in disbelief. P.S. those pictures were taken with a camera phone so they're not the best quality. Cameras weren't allowed >:(
We went to see them in Milwaukee, WI and I don't know if any of you have been there but it's an amazing city surrounded by several questionable neighborhoods. And by questionable I mean ghetto. But we got to the club after what seemed like 50 detours (94 ends conveniently in Milwaukee. Wtf?) and got there early. So by the time doors opened we were ready to pounce and let me just tell you: it was the stage, some kid with a hat, and ME. THAT'S HOW CLOSE I WAS. Now I had a few suspicions that people may start pushing, moshing, acting recklessly but I was determined to stay put. This is my favorite band in the entire universe, there's no way I'm giving up this spot! So an opening band comes out and some Brooke Hogan look-a-like with a nose ring starts literally shoving everyone in a 7 foot radius of her because she thinks she's the queen of the concert. So, I elbow her, but she isn't phased. So the kid in front of me pushes her back and everyone laughs, we think it's the end of it. Oh, no no. This bitch was determined. She starts kicking my boyfriend and pinching his arms and I'm all "Hell no!" and she's all "I'm drunk" and he's all " Please stop" and finally he lost it. He starts swearing at her and she's looking at him with this confused look like she doesn't know what she's doing wrong. I've had enough so I turn around and gave her a good shove and told her to "Get the **** out of here" and then her friend got mad at us, inevitably, and they finally disappeared. At this point, I'm mad, but hoping Stephan and the guys will make it up to me.
Finally my boys came out and I couldn't handle it! They were amazing-no, beyond words. They rocked my head off. After about 6-7 songs though, I was sweating so profusely and using every bone in my body to keep myself up because of the excessive pushing I started to collapse. Literally. So we had to change locations (heartbreaking). I was pissed! Here I am, FINALLY seeing the one band I adore and haven't gotten the chance to see live and I'm passing out and being pushed around. This is what I don't understand: obviously these people are fans-we're all shouting every single word to every song- so how could they choose PUSHING AND SHOVING over standing and enjoying the music and simply rocking out. I wish immature morons weren't allowed in the show, because it nearly killed it for me. Luckily the venue was small so after getting some water and calming down we went to the side with the mature adults and still had a good view.
So other than the 17-year-old jerks who gave me whip lash, it was amazing. Third Eye Blind have been going for over 10 years, aren't even signed to a major label, and still have this amount of success. They announced they're finishing up their 4th album and even sang some new songs from it and I am beyond excited. They rocked! One of the best shows I've ever been to. Yay :)
